_Student for a Day
Attention Parents - Would you like a chance to see what life as a student at Lowell is really like? On Wednesday, February 29 you’ll have that opportunity while shadowing a Lowell student (cannot be your own) as they go about their usual day. We’ll match you up with a volunteer student who has a “typical” schedule for their grade level and you can experience for yourself all that makes Lowell unique. If you would like to visit a particular type of class (such as French, Biology, or PreCalc), we’ll do our best to accommodate you and pair you with someone taking those classes. If you want the full experience then come for the entire day, but half-day options also will be available. E-mail Gail Schickele to sign up or ask questions at gails@bayarea.net. Please provide your wish list and phone number.
STUDENTS: Volunteers needed for STUDENT FOR A DAY scheduled for Wednesday. February 29. _ FABULOUS CARDINAL SOCIAL
Thanks to Lisa & Rob Pollard for opening their home, and to Chris & Pat Loughran, Scott Simons & Cathy Ritter, and Airen Aikman for coordinating the event. We not only raised over $3,000, but it was a wonderful opportunity for Lowell Families to come together. Thanks to the following donors: Knights Catering, Panorama Bakery, Chandler Moore, Scomas, Sweet Constructions, Mission Minis for helping to make the social a success! | BEAUTIFICATION DAY - April 21, 2012
Students & Parents - Save the Date If you missed participating in this fall's community event, or simply enjoyed the event, get ready for the Spring Beautification Day on April 21, 2012, from 9 am - 3 pm. Students and parents will work together again to help beautify the school by gardening, painting, window washing, sponging down the halls and rooms, cleaning the library, picking up trash, and more. Lunch will be served, and students who participate 3 hours or more will be eligible to participate in a raffle. As always, student and parent volunteers are needed to make this community event fun and a success. Information for sign up and other details will be coming in March. |

Let's be an advocate for our kids and their school!
MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
CONTACT the mayor, supervisors, Superintendent Garcia and school board members and tell them that it is time that the exterior of Lowell High School gets painted. It is well overdue, and if the Lowell community sends out emails and letters, and make calls by the hundreds and maybe even thousands, we will get noticed. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
