Joining the PTSA Board
The Lowell PTSA Nominating Committee is elected by the general membership no later than the meeting in January/February. This committee searches for candidates for the elected positions of the PTSA. The election for next year's board is held in the spring.
Interested students, parents/guardians, and staff should fill out the Nomination Form, or email [email protected] stating the position(s) desired along with any relevant experience. To be eligible for election and/or to vote, you must be a member of the Lowell PTSA at least 30 days before the election.
The Lowell Nominating Committee will review interested candidates and select one candidate for each elected position. The list of selected candidates is called the "slate." In spring, the slate will be presented to the general PTSA membership. At the election meeting in May, the membership will vote for each elected position on the slate and for any other PTSA member present that wants to be considered for the position.
Update: See the newly elected 2024-2025 Board here! If you are interested in a vacant position or an appointed position, there is still time. Please email [email protected]
