Reflections
Lowell PTSA is organizing student entries in the National PTA Reflections Art Competition. This contest is open to all Lowell High School students. Student Entry Packets are located in the Library. The deadline for submissions is October 31st.
The theme for the 2019-2020 program year is Look Within. Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts. More detailed information about the National Reflections Art Program
Artworks are submitted first to the Lowell PTSA, where they are first recognized, celebrated and judged by community art leaders, while a non-judged Special Artist division celebrates student artists with special needs. Winning entries are submitted to be judged by the San Francisco 2nd District PTA, which are then sent on to the California PTA. The final artworks submitted to California State PTA by districts are then considered for Outstanding Interpretation, Awards of Excellence or Awards of Merit. Award of Excellence entries then move on to represent California in the final National PTA judging round.
